I recently came across an article in March 1983 issue of Charisma magazine titled "Out of the Snake Pit" by Marguerite Morton as told to Muriel Larson, and would be interested in follow-up to this amazing healing.
Hi, Dr. Muriel Larson, I have enjoyed your postings. I wanted to share with you that I attended a women's retreat about 25 years ago. As one of the speakers you spoke about loving others. It was a message I have never forgotten. The jist of it was that in Christ we can truly love all of our brothers and sisters in Christ and unbelievers. You talked about how we may not "like" them all to the point of wishing to be best friends but in Christ we can love them all. This has helped me in my walk-sometimes we meet people that are EGR's (as one of my friends says-extra grace required) and your message just helped me realize how big God's love truly is-thank you. I am a writer but not as prolific as you; God uses me to encourage specific folks thus it is mainly used via letters, etc.
I have been ready to branch out and perhaps this blog site will work for me to organize the writings I do not want lost as I feel it is time to develop a 'body of work' just as you have.
I have spoken at a few conferences and church groups; again in the area of encouragement.
A bit of back-ground on us as a couple:
We are retired missionaries but this sounds like an oxymoron doesn't it? LOL
As written on the Daily Devotional my husband who is also named Andy has returned to college to become a Funeral Director at age 57. It is an intense program and involves a 4 hour daily commute. As a result is exhausting and demanding.
He is however doing well in his studies and has just gotten over H1N1....praise God for both these things.
I am a Mentor w/Power to Change as well the past 3+ years. I am almost 7 years older than my Big Guy and suffer from chronic illness due to a major car accident in my youth.
[I died and God sent me back; but that's a story in itself; HE simply said, 'It isn't time yet.' and I was back in ICU from the most amazing experience of my life. HOW I yearned to return. It was many years before people started to speak of 'Near Death Experiences' and only then did I feel I could share mine. {I had told one of the nurses at the time and they just laughed and pointed at another nurse and said, 'no you saw her.' So I buttoned up all that time}].
Is it ok to re-direct some seekers to your past articles or subject specific articles?
I ask because as a mentor I feel there is little sense in trying to re-invent the wheel.
If you have written something that says it well and truly then I feel, with your permission, that is the fastest and probably the best way to answer any similar questioning person?
